TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Draw Polish and Fine Polish

Dynamo has developed two new astonishing technical finishing processes.

This first core pin is finished with Fine Polish. As you can see, the good point is that the surface appears to be finished by milling work-it has a mirror effect.

This second core pin is finished with Draw Polish which is vertical machine polish-not hand polish. You can see there is a uniform polish line vertically. When a Draw Polish core pin is used, the aluminum product is smoothly ejected from the die.

Draw Polish and Fine Polish

Please look at the surface finish graphs. The standard polish is surface Ry 1.38(max 2.0), Draw Polish is Ry 0.82(max 1.0), and Fine Polish is Ry 0.25(max 0.4).

Die casting requires a good finish especially on core pins. We have prepared three types of polish. Many customers use different kinds of surface treatments.

Low temperature surface treatments together with one of our polishes is very effective-especially since the low temperature treatment does not cause much change in the surface of the pin itself and allows the surface to remain parallel. Therefore if the core pin has a good surface before treatment, there will be a good surface even after treatment. However high temperature treatments diversely change the surface, so finish is carried out after surface treatments.

In any case, with the new technology of Dynamo, we can cover all customer needs. Please feel free to ask for advice and test our new technology.
